There have been several posted message threads that have arose on http://www.antipolygraph.org , with regards to criminal specific testing. It appears that these questions are being met with resistance from those whom are usually detractors of the polygraph. Some examples below:

It makes me angry when I know my brother has been in the Adam's County jail in West Union, Ohio for over a month because of a 5 hour session on a polygraph. He told me his arm went numb and the band cut his back that was around his chest. James Thompson my brother never harmed anyone esp his friends grandaughter. This is so rediculoius that the State of Ohio's prosecutor is pursuing this case souly on the word of a twelve year old girl that has been threatened by her estrainged mom to tell lies or else and a botched lie detector test. Please someone help my brother!!!!!!!

Dear WNThomp,

I find it hard to believe that any polygraph examiner would want to ruin his equipment in an attempt to "cut into the skin " of an examinee.

I do not like polygraphs but I cannot buy into your arguement. The diaphram coils are rubber coated and would be rendered useless by such tension.

Try feeding this line of bait to another website because nobody here is going to bite.

A good start is to read the Lie Behind the Detector downloadable at this site.

Please consider the options of not taking it or telling the polygraph operator that you know about the "science" and how the test is administered.

No one at this website advocates lying to questions during the test. They do want you to understand that in order to have a "successful" test, your examiner must lie to you. How you handle this information is your own personal decision.

That is the irony of the "Lie Detector."

So when he asks my name i am bit my tounge or pinch my ass cheeks and then answer? I read that book and i didnt really get the hole thing. I am sapose to bit tounge or pinch butt on the control questions to make it look like i am lieing. and then on the others that i am lieing on i am not sapose to and it will make it look like i am telling the truth on those.

Dear I Need to Lie,

Just go into your polygraph exam and tell the truth. I absolutely assure you from reading your statements that the examiner will have one hell of a time trying to discern truth from fantasy.
